The Italian media have revealed details of the camp where the refugees will be housed in Gjadër. According to them, it will be a camp surrounded by barbed wire, where there will be accommodation facilities erected with ready-made panels. Next to him will be a structure where the security forces will stay: the Carabinieri, the military, the police and any security personnel.
According to " il Gazzettino ", the Engineers of the Fire Brigade have finished designing the camp. It will be a circular structure, consisting of modules that are easily assembled and removed.
“ A camp in the shape of a circle, with several surrounding 'walls'. Designed with one precise objective: to limit any form of contact between agents on duty at the facility and migrants. The goal is to prevent any episode of violence within the Albanian territory, acts which must be handled exclusively by the Italian police and military forces. According to her, the project was ready, as it was originally designed for the immigrant collection centers in Italy. The government promised to build 20 centers last summer to stem the refugee crisis. Then things went differently. At the end of September, Prime Minister Meloni changed the direction of the plan: it was no longer the responsibility of the Ministry of the Interior, but of the Ministry of Defense, and the Military Engineers would have to build the centers for the repatriation of illegal immigrants.
The circular structure designed by the Fire Brigade will consist of several prefabricated modules assembled together. The rooms and living quarters inside will be armored and surrounded by walls of resistant material, as envisaged by the project of the Ministry of the Interior, and it is likely that the noisy protests of the opposition and NGOs against the "imprisonment" inside the CPRs , they will concentrate here ", it is further emphasized.
