Iranian state media reports that Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has sent written messages to the United States via Pakistan, highlighting the Islamic Republic's "red lines," particularly on nuclear issues and the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the Fars News Agency, the messages are not related to direct negotiations, but represent an initiative by Iran to clarify its regional position and show what it is not willing to accept from American demands.
"These messages concern some of the Islamic Republic of Iran's red lines, including nuclear issues and the Strait of Hormuz ," said the Fars News Agency, which is close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Informed sources emphasize that Araghchi acted completely within the framework of the red lines set by the Iranian leadership and the diplomatic duties of the Foreign Ministry.
Araghchi recently visited Islamabad, where he met with senior Pakistani officials, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir.
He left Pakistan before the US envoys arrived, noting in a social media post that Iran has shared its position on a workable framework to permanently end the conflict, but is still unsure whether Washington is serious about diplomacy. Iran has reiterated that it is ready for talks but will not sit at a table where the United States dictates “red lines.”
