The meeting between representatives of Ukraine, Turkey and the United States at the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul has ended, sources from the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced.
The talks lasted about an hour and will be followed by the next round of negotiations, mediated by Ankara, between Moscow and Kiev.
The trilateral meeting was aimed at coordination ahead of Russian-Ukrainian talks scheduled for noon.
The talks were led by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and were attended by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US Ambassador to Ankara Tom Barrack, and US Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg.
From the Ukrainian side, the head of the presidential administration, Andriy Yermak, the Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiga, were present at the table.
The talks in Istanbul come at a key moment for international efforts to advance a diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
