Photos taken in Tehran today show billboards, murals and pro-Iranian regime posters across the city, some of which refer to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and another that reads in English: "Down with the USA."

Recall that negotiations between the United States and Iran to end the war remain uncertain and fragile, after a two-week ceasefire was extended by President Trump at the request of Pakistan, but without a full agreement.

The new talks planned in Islamabad are in question, as Iran has expressed strong doubts about participating, accusing the US of violating the ceasefire and of military pressure, especially after the seizure of an Iranian ship by US forces near the Strait of Hormuz.

Key issues hindering progress include Iran's nuclear program, its regional presence, control over the Strait of Hormuz, and the US naval blockade, which has blocked maritime traffic and left thousands of ship crews stranded in the Persian Gulf.

Meanwhile, Iran has responded by seizing other ships, increasing tensions and making it difficult to reach a lasting agreement before the full expiration of the ceasefire.
