US President Donald Trump said that the proposals for a ceasefire with Iran are a step forward, but still not enough. He stressed that, if it were up to him, he would pursue a tougher approach, including control of Iranian oil. Trump warned of the possibility of escalation, including strikes on infrastructure such as bridges and power plants. He reiterated that Iran should not have nuclear weapons and used harsh tones towards the Iranian leadership. He also criticized Americans who oppose the war, calling them “fools.”

United States President Donald Trump has told the media that current ceasefire proposals remain insufficient.

Speaking to reporters at an Easter event at the White House, Trump said the proposed ceasefire agreements constitute "a very important step forward" but are not yet at the desired level.

He added that, if the decision-making were up to him, he would have pursued a tougher economic approach towards Iran.

"If it were up to me, I would take the oil, keep it, and we would benefit greatly financially," he said.

However, Trump stressed that American citizens demand an end to the conflict and that this remains an important factor in his public stance.

Asked about the two American pilots rescued by Iran, he stated that they "are fine."

According to Trump, the war could end "very quickly" if the Iranian government takes the right steps, without providing specific details on these actions.

In a commentary on international politics, he made a historical comparison, emphasizing that the United States should not follow an approach similar to that of former British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, known for his policy of appeasement towards Nazi Germany before World War II.

Trump also declared that Iran should not have access to nuclear weapons, using harsh language towards the previous Iranian leadership.

"You can't give nuclear weapons to crazy people ," he said.

Trump continued his threats against Iran, warning of strikes on the country's infrastructure.

He said the US was "destroying" Iran, adding: "I hate to do it, but we are destroying it."

Trump stated that targets could include bridges and power plants, hinting at further escalation.

"They will have no bridges, no power plants. They will have nothing," he said, without giving concrete details on possible actions.

He added that there are other, harsher options, but declined to elaborate further.

Among other things, Trump called Americans who oppose war with Iran "stupid."

Asked what he would say to citizens who are against involvement in the conflict, he replied curtly: “They are fools.”

Trump argued that his stance was directly related to the issue of nuclear security . “The war is about one thing, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon ,” he said./ Pamphlet
