A macabre crime has occurred in Thessaloniki, where a man strangled his sister and then called the Police to confess to her murder. According to information, the murder took place around 3 pm, in an apartment on Alexandros Street, in the Charilaou area of Thessaloniki.
The 50-year-old, who admitted to the crime, appears to have used a bag to suffocate his sister and after his heinous act, he called the Immediate Action Center to confess.
"I killed my sister ," the 50-year-old reportedly told police.
Police officers who arrived at the apartment found the body of the 59-year-old woman and handcuffed the 50-year-old man. The case has been taken over by the local Police Department.
According to initial information, the man appears to be experiencing psychiatric problems. It is not yet clear whether the perpetrator lived in the same house as the 59-year-old.
