US President Donald Trump has delivered a speech at the American Conservative Convention in Washington. At the beginning of his speech, he declared that he was "finally liberating the country. For years, Washington has been governed by the radical left, but this is where it ends."
He then added: "We have taken back the country and maybe we are doing something good. We are keeping our promises. And we will lead the country for generations. The voters gave us a mandate to change the country and to change things in Washington. We also won the popular vote and that is because we are the party of reason."
On immigrants, Donald Trump said he was "fending off an invasion." Then came the attack on former presidential candidate Kamala Harris: "It's been a long time since I said the name Kamala, nobody knows her last name. She was the crack on the border." "We now have the best border we've ever had," he said, referring to the drop in flows at the border with Mexico. Instead, for him, Joe Biden is "the worst president in history." "We've lost over a trillion dollars to China thanks to my corrupt Joe Biden. Who do we like better? Corrupt Joe or Sleepy Joe? Then the clarification: "I have great respect for the Chinese people and I like President Xi."
The attack also included the press: "MSNBC is a threat to democracy. CNN is pathetic."
"The United States has given $350 billion because we had a stupid president and an incompetent administration... Europe gave it in the form of a loan. They get their money back. We gave it in the form of nothing. So I want them to give us something for all the money we've given. And I'm going to try to solve the war, and I'm going to try to end all that death. So we're going to go after rare earths and oil, everything we can get," Trump said.
