United States President Donald Trump confirmed at a press conference at the White House his threat to return Iran "to the Stone Age" if an agreement is not reached within the established deadline.
Responding to reporters' questions, Trump said he had decided to extend the 10-day deadline for Iran by one day, linking the decision to the Easter holiday.
" I decided to postpone it until tomorrow, to be a good person ," he said.
However, he warned that after this deadline expires, the consequences will be severe.
" They won't have bridges. They won't have power plants. Stone Age ," Trump declared, referring directly to potential strikes on the country's critical infrastructure.
At the same conference, the US president also said that he does not want Kurdish forces involved in the current conflict.
Trump's statements reinforce the harsh tone of the US administration at this stage of the war, combining diplomatic pressure with open threats of military escalation.
