The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, stated that he serves only the citizens of Serbia and the people.
Vučić posted a video with strong messages on his Instagram account. He said that he would not answer to anyone, not those in the West, not even those in the East.
"I think the first thing is wrong and dangerous to think that Serbia is one person and I have no boss, the only ones I answer to are the citizens of Serbia and the Serbian people. I answer to no one anymore. No one. Neither those in the west, nor those in the east," he said.
The President further says that Serbia remains on the European path and will not impose sanctions on Russia.
"Yes, Serbia is on the European path, it will be and will remain until the end of my mandate. Yes, Serbia will not impose sanctions on the Russian Federation until the end of my mandate, while I also have the majority, the influence over the majority, so to speak, in the Government of Serbia and in the National Assembly of Serbia ," Vučić concluded.
