Smoke clouds have been seen over Kuwait, following reports of a possible attack near the United States embassy in the country.
The US Embassy in Kuwait has issued a warning to American citizens, asking them to avoid its premises and to shelter at home until further notice.
"There is a continuing threat of missile and drone attacks on Kuwait. Do not come to the Embassy. Stay in your residence on the lowest available floor and away from windows. Do not go outside," the embassy said in a statement, adding that "U.S. Embassy personnel have taken shelter on site."
Kuwait, a U.S. ally that also hosts a U.S. military base, said it had intercepted missiles fired toward its territory.
Meanwhile, American and Israeli operations against Iran continue for the third day, while Tehran has launched retaliatory attacks in the Persian Gulf following the assassination of Ali Khamenei.
