Details emerge from the shooting of two officials Melissa Hortman and John Hoffman in the US. Former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark were shot to death in their home in Brooklyn Park.
Minnesota State Senator John Hoffman and his wife were also targeted by the same person, who reportedly shot them multiple times. The couple were injured and underwent surgery.
The Minnesota State Patrol released a photo of several sheets of paper with the inscription: "No Kings" found inside the suspect's car.
Meanwhile, police found a list of 70 names of other officials targeted for assassination inside the perpetrator's vehicle. Dressed as a police officer, the perpetrator fled the scene on foot.
A police officer said the names included abortion providers, abortion rights advocates and lawmakers in Minnesota and other states. The officer also said police also found a Father's Day card addressed to the suspect in a bag full of ammunition.
