Hamas says it agrees to hand over the administration of Gaza to an independent body of Palestinian technocrats, based on Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support...
The Palestinian group Hamas said today it is ready to release all Israeli hostages, both living and dead, to end Israel's war in Gaza, in exchange for a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the enclave, under the exchange plan proposed by US President Donald Trump.
This reaction comes just hours after Trump issued a harsh ultimatum on social media, setting a deadline of Sunday evening for accepting the deal, warning that "all hell" would break loose if Hamas refused.
"In this context, the movement affirms its readiness to immediately enter into negotiations through mediators to discuss the details of this agreement ," Hamas said in a statement on Telegram.
Hamas further states that it agrees to hand over the administration of Gaza to an independent body of Palestinian technocrats, based on Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support.
“Other issues mentioned in President Trump’s proposal regarding the future of the Gaza Strip and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people are related to a unified national position and relevant international laws and resolutions. They will be addressed through a comprehensive Palestinian national framework, in which Hamas will participate and contribute responsibly ,” the Hamas statement said.
We recall that Trump's proposal, which includes a 20-point plan for an immediate cessation of the war in exchange for the release of Gazan hostages and prisoners, has been described as a last chance for peace./ Pamphlet
