Supreme Leader declares "victory" and signals new strategic phase in the region

After the fragile ceasefire that temporarily stopped the direct clash, the first reaction of Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, has come, who has aimed to set the tone for the next phase of the confrontation.

Amid growing speculation about his health and real role in decision-making, Khamenei's message was broadcast on state television, confirming that he remains the central figure in the country's political and strategic direction.

" Iran does not seek war, but it will not give up its rights ," he declared, drawing a clear line between avoiding escalation and refusing to make concessions.

In his message, Khamenei described the latest development as a success for Iran, describing the Iranian people as the “decisive winner” in this confrontation. He stressed that the country is at a turning point, which he said marks the beginning of its transformation into a major regional power.

His rhetoric hardened towards opponents, warning that "aggressors will not go unpunished" and that Iran will demand compensation for damages and human losses.

“You, the heroic people of Iran, were the decisive winners on this battlefield. Iran is today at the dawn of its transformation into a great power. We will not let the criminal invaders who attacked our country go unpunished. We will demand compensation for all damages and for the blood of our martyrs. To our southern neighbors: you are witnessing a miracle - look straight and stand on the right side. Beware of the false promises of the devils. We will enter a new phase in the management of the Strait of Hormuz. The people must not abandon the streets despite the “negotiations with the enemy ,” he declared.

A strategically important element in the statement was also the signaling of changes in the management of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important oil transportation routes. Khamenei warned of the entry into a "new phase," without giving specific details, but hinting at increased control or pressure in this key area.

He also addressed neighboring countries to the south, urging them to "choose the right side" and not rely on "false promises," a message that reflects the clash of influences in the region.

On the domestic front, Khamenei called for public mobilization to continue, emphasizing that citizens should not withdraw from public spaces despite the possible development of negotiations with opponents.
