At least 50 people were injured on Saturday when two trams collided in Strasbourg. The prefecture reports that at least 30 of the injured are in serious condition and 15 of them have been taken to hospital. The mayor of the city stressed that there are no deaths.
The accident occurred at 15:35 (local time, 16:35 in Greece) inside a tunnel, when one of the trams collided with the second, which stopped very close to Strasbourg's main station.

A passenger who was inside a tram said they bumped into each other. "We couldn't do anything, the windows were broken and opened and the doors fell down. People were cheering, others were helping the injured," they said.
