Part of the "Ndrangheta" group, the Italian mafia boss is arrested in Colombia

A 55-year-old Italian, suspected of ties to the Calabrian mafia, Ndrangheta was arrested on Thursday in Colombia.

The news was announced after an Interpol announcement.

The suspect's arrest was the result of international cooperation within the Interpol program called I-CAN ("Interpol Cooperation against 'Ndrangheta") in Lyon, with the support of an Italian officer in Colombia.

Since it was created in 2020, I-CAN has facilitated the capture of 93 international wanted persons, according to Interpol, an international organization with 195 member states and 800 employees in Lyon.
