Foreign media have published other images from the event that took place in Iran where President Ebrahim Raisi was involved in an air accident and his fate is still unknown.
The helicopter in which he was traveling crashed in a forested area, while bad weather with fog has engulfed the area and according to local authorities, this makes the work of rescue teams even more difficult. Extensive searches are also underway with teams equipped with drones.
In addition to the images from the rescue teams, the local media also published images of the president of Iran, before the helicopter he was traveling with disappeared. He is seen calm, as he is with his accompanying team, which included the Foreign Minister.
Iranian President Raisi traveled to East Azerbaijan province to attend the opening ceremony of the Qiz Qalasi Dam with the President of Azerbaijan.
In addition to the president, on board with him were: Mohammad Ali Al Hashem, imam of Tabriz; Hossein Amirabdollahian, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic; Malik Rahmati, governor of East Azerbaijan; the pilot, a co-pilot, the head of the defense team and one of the guards. Their fate is still unknown.
