For the first time, a photo of former member of the British royal family, Prince Andrew, with Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of sex crimes, who was found dead in the cell where he was serving his sentence, has been published.
In the photo, which is part of recently released documents, the now-departed prince is sitting at a table on a terrace.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor sits with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019, and former British ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson. All three look into the camera.
The news was first reported by British television network iTV.
According to the British channel, the photo was taken on Martha's Vineyard. The image is among thousands of documents that the US Department of Justice was forced to release under a congressional law. It most likely dates back to between 1999 and 2000.
