Nepal's riots escalate. Regional media reports that the wife of former Nepalese Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal has died after being burned alive when her house was set on fire during violent anti-government protests that have gripped the country.
Nepal's parliament building, as well as the homes of several political leaders, have been burned during unrest that has plunged the country into a deep crisis.
The protests, led mainly by young people, erupted in force after the government banned the use of social media.
However, the main causes of dissatisfaction remain widespread corruption and the lack of opportunities for young people.
