A helicopter belonging to Saudi oil giant Saudi Aramco crashed on Sunday morning in the Ras Tanura area on the east coast of Saudi Arabia, killing 14 people, the state-run Saudi Press Agency reported, while the cause of the accident remains unknown.
According to authorities, the helicopter crashed around 06:00 local time (03:00 GMT) in Ras Tanura, one of the most important centers of the country's oil industry, located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, west of the Strait of Hormuz.
The state agency announced that all 14 people on board died, without providing further details on the identities of the victims or the mission the helicopter was carrying out at the time of the accident.

On the other hand, the Saudi Aramco company has not yet responded to media requests for an official comment on the incident.
The incident comes just two days after Aramco resumed crude oil shipments from the Ras Tanura terminal, which had been suspended for nearly four months. The terminal is considered one of the world's major oil export hubs and is strategically important for international energy markets.
Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, has recently increased its production and exports of oil and gas, at a time when Middle Eastern producing countries are trying to accelerate shipments after reaching a temporary ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran.
According to Saudi authorities, investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident are ongoing.
