An unexpected gesture by US President Donald Trump surprised his Syrian counterpart, Ahmed Al Sharaa, during a meeting at the White House.
During the one-on-one conversation on Monday, November 10, Trump gifted Al Sharaa his personal perfume called "Victory 45-47," introduced last summer as a reference to his two presidential terms.
In a video circulating on social media, the American president is seen spraying himself with perfume first and then his Syrian counterpart and members of his delegation.
Trump finished the gesture by giving Al Sharaa another bottle, the female version of the same perfume, which he said he had for the wife of the Syrian president.
"And here's a bottle for your wife! How many wives do you have? Just one? Well, with you, you never know," Trump tells him.
