It is painful to acknowledge Israel's wickedness.
Gaza authorities have confirmed that Palestinian prisoners have been horribly tortured, as evidenced by the bodies of 135 dead prisoners returned in exchange for the bodies of dead Israeli hostages. This fact has shocked many people, but unfortunately it was a déjà vu.
At least 135 mutilated Palestinian bodies are being held in the notorious Israeli prison, according to Gaza officials.
Gideon Levy writes: "Every time Minister Ben-Gvir bragged about the abuses he ordered, which journalist Yossi Eli revealed in his sadistic reports on Channel 13 about what was happening in Israeli prisons, revenge came from the tunnels."
The Israeli government prides itself on sadism, abuse and torture
It is painful to acknowledge Israel's wickedness. Why did we have to learn about the revenge of the Palestinian kidnappers before we were shocked by the wickedness of the Israeli kidnappers? What happened in Sde Teiman prison was a disgrace, despite the terrible suffering it caused the hostages.
Levy continues: " Many of the bodies of the dead Palestinian prisoners showed signs of torture, such as death by suffocation or death by being crushed by a tank and other vehicles. It is not clear how many of them were killed after arrest. Sde Teiman was a collection point for Palestinians killed elsewhere ."
The Guardian has only seen some of the bodies and confirmed signs of abuse, adding that they cannot be published due to their condition.
The situation for the freed Palestinians who are still alive is not much better. Many of them even struggled to get back on their feet after their release, a fact that the Israeli media has barely covered.
Dr. Ahmed Muhanna, director of Al-Awda Hospital in Jabaliya, arrested in December 2023 and released during the ceasefire, said this week that he was moved from one place to another during his detention, including one where soldiers abused him with wild dogs. The doctor’s withered physique left no doubt about the conditions of his captivity. Israel is holding 19 other Gazan doctors in similar conditions.
Levy points out that today the Israeli government boasts of its sadism, abuse, and torture. It does so because it knows the souls of its citizens. Most Israelis are vindictive and approve of the abuses.
Apart from organizations like Doctors Without Borders, B'Tselem, and the Committee Against Torture, almost no one spoke out against what was happening.
The definition of 'those who are of no value' includes anyone who dared to enter Israel on October 7th.
Journalist Ben Caspit declared this week that all Nukhba fighters should be executed. It appears that the Shin Bet, the Israel Prison Service, and the Israel Defense Forces have already begun serious work.
Israel's only concern is the harm done to the hostages. Everything else is forgiven. In many cases, in fact, we are touched and we greatly appreciate the abuse. We wanted sadism; we got sadism.
For this and other equally horrific reasons, Israel refuses to allow international journalists into the Gaza Strip, and continues to conceal the large number of bodies that will be pulled from the rubble.
Yesterday, Israel's Supreme Court decided to postpone a hearing requested by an organization representing international media in Israel and the Palestinian Territories to open the borders to journalists.
The delay tactic has been widely used in the past, especially in prisons: The Association for Civil Rights in Israel petitioned the High Court of Justice eleven times to allow the Red Cross to visit Palestinian prisoners.
However, the government asked the court eleven times to postpone the decision, just to get its approval, until the Association finally gave up, convinced that its efforts were in vain.
Describing this dynamic, Nir Hasson and Chen Maanit, in Haaretz, write: “ In fact, since the beginning of the war, the Supreme Court has given its stamp of approval to all of Israel’s actions: the denial of medical care, the disappearance of people, the denial of media access to Gaza, and above all the starvation of the Gazan population .”
A lost battle for human rights: Throughout the war, Israel's Supreme Court has denied all requests to protect Gaza residents
To clarify, the ceasefire is holding. It is known that, during his visit to Israel, Vance gave Netanyahu a "strong message" from Trump, urging him not to violate the ceasefire and condemning Sunday's attack that killed 40 Palestinians.
This determination also characterized Trump's reaction to the Knesset vote that led to the annexation of the West Bank, an initiative that Vance called "a personal insult."
In fact, the American president declared that, in the event of annexation, Israel would lose "all support of the United States ."
We emphasize that never before has an American president dared to be so bold towards Israel./ Taken from "Insideover" , adapted by "Pamphlet".
