The head of Britain's secret agency, MI5, Ken McCallum has warned that the conflict in Gaza could inspire terrorist acts in the United Kingdom
Director General of MI5 Ken McCallum joined his counterparts from the secret services "Five Eyes" (UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand), in a meeting organized by the FBI.
Speaking to reporters, McCallum said that "MI5 was paying very close attention to events in the Middle East" and the attacks they have been fueling around Europe.
"There is clearly the potential for events deep in the Middle East to generate a greater volume of threats in the UK. Terrorists can take inspiration not only from what they see happening in the UK, but also from what they they see it happening in the Middle East, on the continent or elsewhere ", he emphasized.
