The blast at al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza, which killed hundreds of Palestinians, has sparked anti-Israel protests across the Middle East and beyond.

Hamas quickly blamed Israel for the blast, although the US says its intelligence suggests it was not Tel Aviv behind the blast.

Protesters have clashed with Israeli forces in Ramallah, in the West Bank, where demonstrations first erupted last night shortly after news of the blast spread.

In Beirut, Lebanon, police fired dozens of tear gas canisters and water cannons in an attempt to disperse demonstrators as protests turned violent.

Pro-Palestinian rallies were also held today in Jordan, Turkey and Iran.

There have been demonstrations beyond the Middle East as well, with pro-Palestinian demonstrators taking to the streets in Frankfurt and Berlin, Germany, and outside the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands.
