Exchanges continue, Hamas releases 17 hostages on third day of deal with Israel

Despite doubts that Hamas would not release hostages today, the Israel Defense Forces have confirmed a few minutes ago that 13 Israeli hostages and 4 foreigners have been transferred to the Red Cross.

According to the report from the Israeli army, this information was based on the data transmitted to it by the Red Cross, which has undertaken to act as an intermediary in the transportation and exchange of hostages between the two countries.

Hamas has said it has handed over 13 Israeli hostages, three Thai citizens and one Russian to the Red Cross.

They will then be transferred by Egyptian security to be handed over to the Israeli side and flown to an Israeli base.

Meanwhile, the US National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, said earlier that the extension of the 4-day ceasefire depends on Hamas.

He emphasized that Israel has been very clear about this agreement and is ready to continue the pause for each day that Hamas releases more hostages. So everything remains in the hands of Hamas, if they do not implement the agreement, the responsibility remains theirs.
