
A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck the Alaska-Canada border on Saturday, with tremors felt in Yakutat and Juneau, according to the USGS. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reported no tsunami threat.
The earthquake struck at 11:41 a.m. local time on Saturday at a depth of 6 miles (10 km). Its epicenter was about 56 miles (90 km) north of Yakutat.
Two aftershocks immediately followed the main quake. The first was a magnitude of 5.6, while the second was a magnitude of 5.3. So far, no damage or injuries have been reported.
