Israeli authorities report that the fire was caused by debris from a rocket.
A huge fire broke out at an oil refinery in the northern Israeli city of Haifa after debris fell from a rocket intercepted during an airstrike, the Israeli fire service said.
According to authorities, the incident occurred after an aborted drone attack, while the air defense system managed to neutralize the threat in the air. Debris from the missile used to intercept the drone fell into the refinery area, causing the fire.
Up to this stage, no casualties or injuries have been reported. Emergency services intervened to bring the situation under control and prevent the spread of the flames.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
