
A Greek criminal, locked in custody, owned the car with which an Albanian was caught at the border, on Saturday, transporting 100 kilograms of drugs.
Police officers of the Narcotics Prosecutor's Office in Gumenica found 66 packages of raw cannabis with a total weight of 87.5 kg and ten packages of processed cannabis in the form of "chocolate" weighing 11 kg.
The Greek driver did not obey the control signal on the Makrichora - Mazarakia road and entered the village, where he lost control of the vehicle, which hit a parked car and stopped. The passengers tried to escape on foot, but the police managed to stop one of them on the spot, while the second was arrested after a chase on foot.
Today they will be sent to the Criminal Prosecutor's Office of Thesprotia with the file filed against them for importation, transport and drug trafficking, non-compliance and violation of the law on foreigners and the Road Traffic Code, as the case may be. The charge also falls on the prisoner, as there is evidence that he organized the receipt and transportation of the cargo.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Aristidhi Lulëzim Dalipi, 24 years old with Albanian nationality and Greek citizenship, while the passenger has been identified as Amarildo Jakup Omeri, 35 years old from Fieri. The owner of the vehicle is Dalipi's brother, citizen Dhionisios Lulëzim Dalipi, currently imprisoned in Koridhalo.
