The awkward scene involving French President Emmanuel Macron has sparked numerous reactions. One of them was from the Kremlin, where Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova ironically commented on images of French President Emmanuel Macron's arrival in Hanoi, Vietnam.
This is a video in which the French leader is slapped by his wife, Brigitte, as he gets off a plane.
"That's not interesting, what's interesting is what story the Champs-Elysées will invent this time," the diplomat wrote on Telegram, joking that Macron was hit by "the Kremlin's hand."

When asked about the incident, Emmanuel Macron tried to portray it as a trivial incident between spouses. "Maybe we were joking, as my wife and I often do, and suddenly this video was presented as a global catastrophe. In the world we live in, we don't have time to deal with such things," he stressed.
