US special forces allegedly blew up their own planes during a rescue operation
The US Army special forces, specifically the Delta unit, according to initial information, reportedly decided to destroy their own aircraft on the ground.
US special forces appear to have pulled off the unthinkable to rescue the weapons officer of an F-15 jet in Iran. According to unconfirmed reports, they set up a temporary air base in the heart of Iran to carry out this critical rescue mission.
According to reports that have emerged, at least two C-130 Hercules transport aircraft landed in hostile territory to pick up the pilot and his accompanying crew. While everything seemed to be going according to plan, the operation took a dramatic turn.
The planes were stuck on the ground in sand, their engines struggling to provide the necessary thrust for takeoff. The pilots faced a worst-case scenario as time ran out and Iranian forces approached the area.
When it became clear that the planes could not take off, US special forces, the Delta Force, reportedly decided to blow up the planes on the ground. Explosions rocked the area as Iranian forces opened fire, at the same time as three more planes arrived for a last-minute evacuation.
