WASHINGTON - Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris leads with 47% support to Republican former President Donald Trump's 42%, according to a new poll, further extending her lead after the televised debate in which voters think Ms. Harris delivered. better. The poll included 1,690 American adults nationwide, including 1,405 registered to vote this year. The possibility of error of this survey is at the level of about 3% among registered voters.
Although national polls, including those conducted by Reuters and the firm Ipsos, provide important signals about the views of the electorate, it is the state-by-state results certified by the Electoral College that determine the winner, and the final result is expected to be decided by a number small number of vital states for the electoral battle. / VOA
