Meanwhile, the Swedish police have in many cases refused permits to burn the holy book of Islam for security reasons. However, the administrative court rejected the decisions, arguing that public gatherings and protests should have a permit, unless they pose a direct threat to public safety. This decision comes just a few days before the Vilnius summit on July 11 and 12, where Stockholm is hoping for progress on its accession to NATO. But with this action, apparently Sweden has no chance to join the alliance.
