Documentary footage shows the preparation and armed clash outside the building
The moment of the terrorist attack outside the Israeli consulate in Istanbul is making the rounds around the world. A video from the moment of the attack in Istanbul shows one of the three perpetrators preparing a weapon, hiding behind a vehicle near the Israeli consulate building, and then leaving to carry out the attack.
The video reveals that the perpetrators were prepared, according to CNN Turk, which published footage showing the exchange of fire between the attackers and security guards.
The perpetrators attempted to enter the building and move towards the seventh floor, where the consulate is located, but security guards realized the situation. The police asked the gunmen to stop, but they did not obey and thus the exchange of fire began, which lasted about ten minutes.
One of the three perpetrators was killed by police gunfire, while the other two hid behind a vehicle and continued to shoot at the guards. In the end, one of the gunmen was injured in the clash.

The perpetrators have been identified.
Turkish Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said that "three people who were involved in an armed clash with our police officers on duty in front of the Yapı Kredi Plaza blocks in Istanbul were neutralized."
"Two of our police officers were slightly injured. The perpetrators have been identified. It has been determined that one of the individuals, who had come to Istanbul from Izmir in a rented car, has ties to an organization that exploits religion, while one of the two terrorists, who are brothers, has drug-related precedents," he said.
