An action by police teams is being carried out by order of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office of Kocani in connection with the fire procedure at the "Pulse" club. According to initial information, the former mayors of the Municipality of Kocani, Nikolco Iliev and Ratko Dimitrovski, and the resigned mayor, Ljupco Papazov, have been arrested.
The Public Prosecution announced tonight that the operation to detain persons suspected of involvement will continue throughout the night, while more details will be provided after the operation ends tomorrow.
Ljupco Papazov was questioned by the prosecutor at the Kocani Public Prosecution Office on March 17, and after the questioning ended, the Prosecution Office announced that a decision will be made on his further status in the proceedings.
The mayor was questioned and provided some clarifications and information. Such a statement is compared with the evidentiary material and the competences of the municipality, after which a decision will be made on his further status in the procedure - the Prosecutor's Office announced after the end of Papazov's questioning.
