The investigation into the sinking of the trawler with hundreds of migrants on the Greek coast continues, while the institutions show the route that the vessel described.

The Ministry of the Navy and Island Policy states that the fishing vessel that sank in international waters in the maritime area of 47 nautical miles southwest of Pylos was sailing from the moment it was spotted during the morning, noon and afternoon hours of June 13.

The statement states that during the day there were two tankers that approached the trawler to help the people on board and to give them food. The fishing vessel stopped again for a few minutes as the Greek Coast Guard Patrol Vessel approached and then continued its journey.

While from the moment of the end of the process of supplying food items to the moment of its stopping due to a mechanical defect, the fishing vessel has covered a distance of about 6 nautical miles, says the Ministry of the Navy.

From the moment it was spotted by the border police until the moment it sank, the trawler traveled about 30 nautical miles.

Investigations into the incident continue, as well as searches at sea for the missing bodies.
