Protests have gripped Nepal.
The unrest led by the "Gen Z" movement culminated in the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, after 19 protesters were killed in a violent clash with security forces.
A curfew was imposed again in Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, after a break from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
According to Nepal's Health Ministry, the death toll has risen to 34, while more than 1,300 people have been injured.
The protests, led mainly by young people in their teens or early 20s, have been fueled by anger at widespread corruption, economic inequality and the luxurious lives that political leaders and elites live, while Nepal remains one of the poorest countries in the world.
While the Parliament, the Prime Minister's office and the Supreme Court were engulfed in flames, protesters and armed groups also burned down five-star hotels, such as the Hilton, Hyatt Regency and Varnabas Museum Hotel.
The Hyatt Regency, located near Boudhanath Stupa, one of the most important Buddhist sites, was severely damaged by protesters.
According to the hotel manager, Bhushan Rane, none of the guests or staff were injured. The hotel will remain closed until further notice.
Meanwhile, the Hilton Hotel, a modern tower opened a year ago by businessman Shahil Agrawal, was engulfed in flames, sending black smoke billowing into the Kathmandu sky.
A Hilton spokesman confirmed that the building has been closed and staff along with guests have been safely evacuated, Reuters writes.
