US President Donald Trump has categorically denied ever visiting Jeffrey Epstein's infamous island, during a conversation with reporters after meeting with the British Prime Minister.
“I didn’t talk to Jeffrey Epstein for years,” Trump said, adding that the reasons were clear: “He did something inappropriate. He hired people from my staff without permission. I told him not to do it again. He did it again and I kicked him out of my resort. I kicked him out and that was the end of it.”
Trump stressed that he had declined invitations to go to Epstein's famous island, which has now become a symbol of sex scandals and the trafficking of underage girls.
"I declined the invitation. A lot of people in Palm Beach were invited, but I didn't want to go. It was one of my best moments," he said.
Trump's statement comes as the Epstein case takes on new dimensions in the US, reopening debates over the connections of powerful political and business figures to the late financier's dark web.
