Trump signs another executive order, tough penalties for anyone who burns the

US President Donald Trump has signed two executive orders aimed at eliminating the cashless bail policy in Washington, DC, and imposing harsh penalties for those who desecrate the American flag.

The first order directs Attorney General Pam Bondi to identify jurisdictions in the U.S. that use the free-for-all system and to block or withdraw federal grants to those areas. “We’re ending this. We’re starting with D.C., because that’s where we have the right to do it through federalization,” Trump said, stressing that the move would strengthen federal authority over the nation’s capital. The decision came after the administration moved to take control of law enforcement in the city, deploying thousands of federal agents and National Guard members to the streets.

Another executive order signed by the president deals with the desecration of the American flag. The document, reviewed by Fox News, directs the Justice Department to prosecute any flag burning. Trump declared that the flag is “the most sacred and beloved symbol of the United States” and that burning it is an act that is “offensive, provocative, and often used by foreign groups to threaten Americans.” He added that anyone who burns the flag should be charged with inciting riots and sentenced to one year in prison, without the possibility of parole.

According to Trump, flag burning "causes unrest on levels we have never seen before" and for this reason his administration aims to ultimately criminalize this act.
