United States President Donald Trump said Iran only has "two or three days" to sit down at the negotiating table and reach an agreement with Washington.
Speaking to reporters outside the White House, Trump said the deadline for a deal is very limited. " Maybe Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or early next week. They have a very short window of time ," he said.
The US president reiterated his stance that Iran should not have nuclear weapons, warning of serious consequences in the region if Tehran achieves such military capabilities.
" We can't let them have nuclear weapons. They would destroy Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates, Qatar and the entire Middle East. It would be a nuclear holocaust ," Trump declared.
The US president's statements come at a time of high tensions between Washington and Tehran, as diplomatic efforts continue to avoid further escalation in the region.
