A newly released video is making the rounds on social media, as it shows footage from inside the US presidential helicopter "Marine One", shedding light on a tense conversation between US President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening as the presidential couple were returning from the United Nations General Assembly in New York. In the video, the president is seen pointing at Melania, who responds by shaking her head.
A short time later, the two got off the helicopter and, despite their earlier argument, walked hand in hand into the White House.
The incident was widely commented on by the American media, while according to the Daily Mail, the White House has yet to respond to questions about the footage that went viral.
The incident is reminiscent of videos of Brigitte Macron pushing French President Emmanuel Macron as the door of the presidential plane opened after their arrival in Hanoi, which Donald Trump commented on at the time.
"There was a video of the First Lady of France slapping her husband. Do you have any advice from one leader to another?" a Fox News correspondent asked the US president.
And Trump humorously replied: "Make sure the door stays closed." His joke caused laughter in the hall.
"I spoke to him, they're fine, they're two very good people. I know him well and I don't know exactly what happened there," Trump added, trying to calm the impressions.
