"The Iranian regime is among the worst on earth, they are cutting off the heads of babies," Trump declares
United States President Donald Trump harshly attacked the Iranian regime during a statement to reporters on Air Force One.
Trump responded to criticism from Iran that the US was behind the attack on a desalination plant. The US president dismissed the accusation and shifted the focus to Tehran's support for the Hamas organization.
"They are among the worst people in the world. They cut off the heads of babies. They cut up women. Look at what happened on October 7th," Trump told reporters.
The US president added that he had no information about any attack on a desalination plant and that Iran's accusations do not change the fact that Tehran supports groups that carry out attacks against civilians.
The attack mentioned by Trump is related to the events of the October 7 attacks, when Hamas militants attacked Israeli territory and killed hundreds of civilians.
In the days following the attack, there were unconfirmed reports of decapitated babies. Israeli authorities did not officially verify this claim.
