At least three people were killed and 25 others were injured in the city of Hatay (Antiochia) in Turkey, after a violent clash between two families, Turkish media report.
According to reports, the conflict began with a verbal argument during the Eid al-Fitr holiday and then escalated into a physical clash, where stones, knives and firearms were used.
Published cellphone footage shows dozens of people involved in the brawl, attacking each other in the street.
Security forces intervened to bring the situation under control, but were unable to prevent the deaths and injuries. The three seriously injured people later died, despite the efforts of doctors.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and it is expected that some of those involved, including the injured, will face murder charges after completing medical treatment.
