Ukrainian writer Victoria Amelina has died after being hit by a Russian missile in a restaurant in the eastern city of Kramatorsk, "BBC" writes .
The war crimes researcher becomes the 13th person killed in the attack.
Writers' association PEN Ukraine said that doctors "did everything they could to save her life, but unfortunately the wound was fatal."
Human rights activists have called the attack a war crime.
Amelina, 37, was dining with a delegation of Colombian journalists and writers at the city's popular Ria Lounge when she was hit by the missile. About 60 others were injured in the attack.
She was rushed to the hospital in Dnipro, but could not survive, PEN Ukraine said.
"It is with great pain that we inform you that the heart of writer Victoria Amelina stopped beating on July 1," the group said in a statement.
Amelina was one of Ukraine's most famous young writers, who began documenting war crimes after Russia's full-scale invasion last year. She also began working with children near the front lines. Last year she discovered the diary of children's writer Volodymyr Vakulenko, who was kidnapped and killed by Russian troops in the town of Izyum shortly after the invasion.
