The adviser to the Ukrainian president, Mykhailo Podolyak, said that exchanging territories for NATO membership is ridiculous.
" To trade a territory for a NATO umbrella? It's ridiculous ," Mykhailo Podolyak wrote in Telegram, commenting on the words of NATO Chief of Staff Stefan Jenssen, according to which Ukraine may be granted membership in the Alliance in in exchange for giving part of its territory to Russia.
He said that this means deliberately choosing to lose democracy by encouraging a global criminal.
" This means deliberately choosing to lose democracy, encourage a global criminal, preserve the Russian regime, destroy international law and pass the war to the next generation ," Jenssen said.
