The Iranian military has warned that it will respond if the United States continues its naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement comes from the command center of the Iranian armed forces and was published by several state media outlets, including the Tasnim news agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The statement said that if the US military continues "siegement, banditry and maritime piracy" in the region, it "will face a response" from Iran's armed forces.
According to previous information, the United States has detained several ships after imposing a blockade on maritime traffic entering and leaving Iranian ports on April 13.
