
Israel has denied having anything to do with the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
A senior Israeli official said the country was not involved in any way in the deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
"It wasn't us" , he said, who asked for anonymity.
All indications at present are that the helicopter crashed due to bad weather.
Iran and Israel have long been enemies, strongly opposed to Tehran's nuclear program development.
Iran has supported, funded, and trained several proxy groups across the Middle East region to varying degrees, including Hamas in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and a number of other factions based in Syria and Iraq.
