The Macedonian party, VMRO-DPMNE, is leading in the presidential and parliamentary elections, according to preliminary results published on the official website of the State Election Commission.
As for the presidential elections, from over 63 percent of the processed results, VMRO DPMNE's candidate for president, Gordana Silanovska-Davkova, won over 63 percent of the votes, while her opponent, the current president, Stevo Pendarovski, won about 30 percent of the votes.
Meanwhile, the result for the parliamentary elections, so far, appears as follows; from 80 percent of the counted boxes, the "Your Macedonia" Coalition of VMRO-DPMNE won 333,501 votes or 42 percent.
The European Front of DUI, which consists of the Albanian Democratic Party, the Alliance for Albanians (Ziadin Sela), the People's Movement, the European Democratic Party, the Turkish Democratic Party, the Roma Union, the Movement of Macedonian Turks for Justice and Democracy, the Bosnian Democratic Union) has won 114,218 votes or 14 percent.
The coalition from the Albanian opposition bloc "VLEN" consisting of the Democratic Movement, Alternativa, Besa Movement and the Alliance for Albanians received 90,228 votes or 11 percent. While the Coalition for the European Future led by SDSM received 114,218 votes or 14 percent.
The left has 37,012 votes, while the ZNAM Movement - 'For our Macedonia' has 27,689 votes. Other parties and coalitions that participated in the elections had less than one percent of the vote.
Based on the counting of votes so far, VMRO turns out to be the first party with 42.75%, which is expected to have 59 mandates in the Assembly. The second is expected to be the European Front coalition with 14.42%, which is expected to have 19 seats in the Assembly.
Behind it is the VLEN coalition with 11.38% and it is expected to have 13 seats in the Assembly. SDSM, so far has 14.67% and is expected to have 18 seats in the Assembly.
