Nicolina Giagheddu, the mother of Emanuele Ragnedda, who killed 33-year-old Cinzia Pinna, has publicly stated that she will not forgive her son and that he "deserves hell."

Her strong statement was made on Wednesday afternoon outside the family property in Conca Entosa, where investigators were conducting a new inspection.

"I didn't know Cinzia, but I apologize," said Giagheddu, who indicated that she had believed in her son's project in that area, but now considers it her biggest mistake.

The perpetrator's mother said she has not visited her son in prison and has no intention of doing so: "He cannot be forgiven if he really did this."

She added that she felt he was "living too much" and that she had warned others, but to no avail.

In the most poignant statement, she recalled a moment with an autistic child who had told her that Conca Entosa was "paradise."

"He turned that place into hell. Well, then he deserves hell," she continued.

Emanuele Ragnedda is the self-confessed killer of Cinzia Pinna, the 33-year-old woman who disappeared on September 11 in Palau. He shot her to death and hid her body under the bushes of his 72-hectare vineyard in Arzachena.

Foreign media reported that Ragnedda had cheated for three days, while Cinzia's body, abandoned in a field, decomposed over time. A few days later he confessed to the crime, justifying it as an act of self-defense.

Investigators have also decided to question his girlfriend, the owner of one of the most popular clubs in San Pantaleo, in the province of Olbia, in Gallura. From her mobile phone, Ragnedda is suspected of having made several calls in the days after Cinzia's murder. One of them was addressed to a 26-year-old gardener from Milan, already involved in the investigation.

It was September 21, nine days after Cinzia disappeared. She had arrived in Palau from her hometown to look for work, she first worked in a bar, then was hired at the Palau Hotel.

Her father is a well-known restaurant owner in Castelsardo, where he owns three establishments.

During the first interview, 41-year-old Ragnedda, a descendant of a family with a tradition in wine production, stated: "I didn't know him. I must have seen him for a while," while adding that he felt sorry for what had happened.

But, at the same time, the carabinieri already had the first evidence, a video from a security camera showing the moment when Cinzia got into Ragnedda's car.

On September 22, when he was already under investigation, Ragnedda gave his first version of events, which also involved a 26-year-old gardener, who had come to Gallura for the summer season. He claimed that the gardener helped him hide Cinzia's body after an evening spent together.

Later, in another statement, he denied this, saying that "I did it all myself."

The two men had met in a bar in San Pantaleo a few weeks earlier and had spent several evenings together with friends, even after Cinzia's murder.

The gardener remains under investigation for concealing the body, while his lawyers have stated that they are considering the possibility of requesting an interrogation.

Ragnedda's final version mentions a knife Cinzia was carrying and a wound in his arm, in an attempt to justify the murder.

Cinzia was found half-naked, without pants or underwear. Her mobile phone was also missing. When the judge asked him: “Where are they?”, he replied: “I don’t remember.”

Investigators suspect that one or more accomplices helped him disappear the victim's clothes and personal belongings after the fatal evening.
