The police announced that the investigation has been extended to several tracks and the possibility that the perpetrator of the murder is not Croatian, but Greek, has not been ruled out.
" The investigation is ongoing and the possibility that the author is Greek is even being examined. In some of the videos taken at the time of the events, some are heard speaking Greek and saying phrases like "let's finish it". So this possibility is being considered, but nothing is certain so far," the police announced.
"The perpetrator is most likely among those arrested, however there are also people who escape and may be involved in the murder. The main thing is to find the weapon of the crime or the DNA evidence near the wound and in combination with the evidence to reveal the identity of the person who committed the crime", emphasized the police officials.
In the meantime, the police continue the full checks and arrests of Croats in Athens, as well as those who try to leave the country, from the border points, where strict orders have been given to be checked very carefully.

Croatian hooligan Domagoj Pezer, 19, tried to leave Greece, but was stopped at the Greek border point of Kakavija. He was handcuffed and taken to the Janina Police Department where he will be interrogated.
After the event, the Greek Minister of Citizen Protection, Ioanis Oikonomou, ordered the immediate removal from duty of 7 Greek police officers EL.AS and gave orders for the opening of an internal investigation after the murder of the 29-year-old Greek in the violent incidents between Croatian and Greek hooligans in Athens.
