Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, during a meeting with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, complained to his Turkish counterpart about the military agreement between Croatia, Albania and Kosovo.

He described this cooperation as a military alliance directed against Serbia. According to him, the meetings between the chiefs of staff are not related to technical issues, but to military strategy and tactics. Vučić stated that any such alliance constitutes a threat to a third party and added that the involvement of Pristina makes the situation more worrying for Serbia.

"It is not a matter of building factories, it is military-technical cooperation and what we are talking about is a military alliance. When the chiefs of staff meet, they do not talk about procurement, but about the strategy and tactics of military action, how to attack, how to defend. When they say it is not a threat, every military alliance is a threat and is directed against someone. Pristina should have been included, because it is a threat to Serbia. It is a big threat to Serbia and the Serbian people," Vučić said, Novosti reports.

During the conversation with Erdogan, he presented his position on the developments that, according to him, are giving momentum to this alliance. Vučić mentioned joint military exercises, discussions on the support of the “Shota” vehicle and analysis of the opponent’s possible movements. He emphasized that Serbia has not displayed all its military capabilities.

The Serbian president declared that his country will not take offensive actions and will not become part of military alliances, maintaining neutrality. He added that Serbia will continue to strengthen the army to deter any potential threat and that not all available means were presented at the recent military parade in Belgrade.

"Someone is predicting this not for defensive, but offensive actions in the event of some scenarios in Eastern Europe. Our generals are aware of this, we will not attack anyone, we will not enter into alliances, we will remain neutral, but we are strengthening the army to deter potential enemies. We did not show everything at the parade in Belgrade," he added.

The meeting between Vučić and Erdogan was the third in six months. The talks also covered issues related to relations between Serbs and Bosniaks in Bosnia, as well as interethnic relations in Serbia.
