The Serbian President, Aleksandër Vucic, has rejected the words that he can sign the recognition of Kosovo's independence, calling them lies.
Vucic, through a video message on his Instagram account, has said that he will never sign the independence of Kosovo, adding that this is "to the credit of everyone in the political scene of Serbia who tell such lies".
"Dear citizens, dear citizens, in every election campaign you hear all kinds of things, you hear everything. A good number of untruths and lies, but as President of the Republic I have to react to one that does not concern me, that has nothing to do with the block of political parties that I personally support, but has to do with the state and postulates the foundation on which our country rests", begins Vučič, his address on Instagram.
"Accordingly, as they said in the last campaign that they are against sanctions against Russia and that I will personally introduce them on April 3, and after the election I have not done that and they are still advocating sanctions against Russia. The Russian Federation to this day, so now they have invented that I am ready to sign the independence of Kosovo, just to pass the elections. I want you, the people of Serbia, to know that this is a notorious lie. And as an honorable man, but not only that, but also as a man who respects the Constitution of his country, the laws of his country and who loves his people in Kosovo more than anything and who will always stick to it of the law and the law and the letter of oath placed in the Gospel of Miroslav, I want to tell you that this is a notorious lie", said Vucic.
